Alex de Crook is 51 years old and has been active in the football world for over 36 years already. Alex has a UEFA A Youth license and has worked for several football clubs, including de Graafschap, Dalian Yifang FC (former Dalian Aerbin) in China and San Jose Earthquakes (US). Also he worked as an assistant coach for the Chinese Olympic team and the national team of Curacao with Guus Hiddink. Bengaluru FC (India) and Uthai Thani (Thailand) are also on his CV. His most recent job has been with Heilongjiang Ice City FC in china as head coach.
De Crook has worked as an assistant coach for the last 6 years under head coaches Guus Hiddink, Mikael Stahre, Marco Pezzaiouli and Mike Snoei. He has done this in countries such as the US, China, India, Curacao, Thailand and most recently China again. Before all this he has worked as a youth coach and academy director in both China and the Netherlands.
As a trainer, De Crook specializes in team and individual periodization, has great knowledge of- and experience in video and data analysis, GPS tracking systems and has been providing team and individual trainings for various age groups for 35 years already. He has developed a methodical training course on football technical and tactical level for youth and senior football teams, whereby he aims for cohesion between the age groups in all areas.
